Small Group Tutoring Sessions in Christchurch

About Group Sessions

As Tailored Tutoring grows, I'm excited to offer a new way for students to learn: small group sessions alongside the 1-on-1 tutoring I already provide.

Small groups bring real benefits beyond the academic content. Children get the chance to learn specialised topics in a focused setting while also building social connections with peers who are working through similar material.

What's on offer

To start, group sessions will focus on two areas:

Structured Literacy: A weekly 45 minute session for up to four students, grouped by age and learning needs.

Maths: A weekly 45 minute session for up to four students, grouped by age and learning needs.

Session details:

  • Length: 45 minutes

  • Cost: $80 per child

Proposed times:

  • Wednesday afternoons, 4:30pm – 5:15pm

  • Saturday afternoons, 2:45pm – 3:30pm

Session topic:

Which topic runs on which day is still being finalised, based on the needs of each group. Confirmed days and times will be shared here as groups are set up.

How groups are formed

Students are grouped by age or by similar learning needs, so each session stays targeted and every child gets the support they need to make progress.

1-on-1 tutoring is still available

Group sessions are an addition to my tutoring offering, not a replacement. If individual sessions suit your child better, 1-on-1 tutoring remains available as always.

Interested in a group session?

Spaces in each group are limited to four students. Get in touch to register your interest, find out more about current availability, or ask any questions about how the sessions work.
