Music Tutoring for Year 0–8 Students in Christchurch

Understanding the building blocks of Music

When learning a musical instrument it is important that children develop an understanding of how the different elements of music such as melody, harmony, rhythm and form interact and work to create a piece of music. It helps musicians communicate ideas and explains how music is composed to form a musical composition.

Does your child need help with:

  • Understanding the principles of music to confidently create, perform and interpret music?

  • Music theory support to prepare for exams with Royal Schools of Music, Trinity Schools of Music or another organisation?
